No matter where you’re going,
M.STEIN
Or where you’ve been,
We all stand on this road.
Many face it alone,
But the fortunate ones have somebody by their side
Walking through each season as one watches the tides.
It does not care if your rich or poor,
You can’t bargain with your education here
Your looks fall flat on the floor
Age will only benefit you in later years.
It shows no pity, hate, or love
It has no face, shadow, or voice
Yet it feeds off your mistakes.
Even time has it repeating in its place,
The lessons of our yesterday.
