Familiar sounds all around
A stillness in the air
Trees whispering among themselves.
Birds chriping everywhere.
The warmth of the sun
Cascading over me.
So this is what it feels like to finally be at peace.

You can feel life in these moments
Living presently
As people walk and talk nearby
Dogs following at their feet.
Distracted by the butterflies fluttering inbetween

Listening to planes soaring
In a bright blue sky
Looking at the lush green yards and floral trees I pass by.

Slightly masked by the mowers down a street. The smell of oranges that I picked off someone’s tree.
Tasting nature’s work
On a day like this
The taste for life
In a place like this.
